June 7, 2009, Sunday noon will be this year's celebration of the Day of Portugal. The night before, June 6, we celebrate the Day of Portugal with a dinner dance, folclorico dancers, two-armed raffle, and other festivities. All activities are open to the public. The Day of Portugal was celebrated under the tent and over to the flag pole. A proclamation was made by the Town of Falmouth recognizing the contributions and dedication of the portuguese people who live in our area, and to the betterment of of the Town. Two scholarship winners were present to receive their certificates and awards. What a pleasant day!
